False Low Gas Warning Light Comes on after filling tank? 850 1996

Hello Everyone,

I have a 1996 850 GLT Wagon, non-turbo with a 5 speed manual and with about 150,000 miles on the clock. Recently, after I fill up the car with gas, the "Low on Gas Light" comes on. It will stay on, until I turn off the engine and re-start it. Then the light goes out? Any suggestions as to what is causing this? Thanks to all who respond in advance.
