Turbo Swap from a LPT to a HPT 850 1997

Hello,
I've got a 1997 850 AWD (Canadian / Euro model only) with a LPT td04hl-13g-7 turbo unit / and a BSR ECU upgrade / man transmission.
I was thinking of swapping the turbo unit with a HPT td04hl-16G and have some questions.

Will the ECU need to be custom programmed? or can I just make a straight swap??

Any advice would be appreciated.
