mass air flow meter and plugs S40-V40 2000

I have a 2000 v-40 with 63,000 miles and am told that the mass air flow meter needs to be replaced and there is a misfire code. Could that be related or should I replace the plugs as they have recommeded to me. Also, what would be the best plugs and where would I get the mass air flow meter.
