A few days after replacing one of the 3W dash bulbs behind the speedo, my odometer & tripmeter failed (1997 850 w/ 112K miles). The speedometer and everthing else work fine. The cheapest I found a genuine Volvo part was $179, but my local shop said they could send it out for diag & repair for around $200. I plan to choose the latter so I know it's fixed (otherwise I could be stuck with a non-returnable $179 part). Anyone else know of any options? Thanks.
