Please make me feel better 850

I have a 1994 850 sedan..not turbo.I've had it for about 6 months. I have had no problems with it save for general maintenance. Last night the brake light went on and off a few times..then stayed steadily on. This morning I noticed a small amount of fluid..my fiance said it was brake fluid. We took it to a garage in town who admittedly does not work on Volvos. He put it on the lft, and said it looks like it is leaking under the ABS pump. He topped off the brake fluid and we went on our way. We are taking it to a shop that specializes in Volvos..the owner has a very good rep, and he said he doubts it is leaking from the pump..that it could still be a line leak at the base. So..has anyone ever had this repaired? Am I looking at a huge bill? Also..I asked a friend at a local auto salvage shop for the price of a used pump, and he has one in stock for 300. Is that a fair price for it? Any help or ideas will be great..I am quietly freaking right now.
