Better mileage after thermostat replacement 850 1995

My '95 850 Turbo (with 101k miles) has gone from 19.8 to 20.8 MPG since my thermostat was replaced about a month ago. It had failed and caused my engine to overheat. I had been getting 19.8 MPG consistently for over a year.

I notice also that the typical running temperature of the engine is hotter than before (according to the instrument panel).

An unexpected bonus from this repair.
