anyone know where to get quality parts other than the dealer?

before i reassemble my engine, i just want to be sure i use the best parts. if anyone here has any experience, please let me know about what brand of parts would be best.......there's plenty of stuff out there, but not all parts are created equal.

please answer the question, no comments from the peanut gallery necessary.
