anyone use mobil 1 15-50 in the winter ? 850

My 94 855 turbo has been cranking very slow in the morning after 30 degree temps. It does start but it sounds like the battery is almost dead. I tested the battery and its ok.
I changed from M1 10-30 to M1 15-50 and thought maybe this is the problem.
Does anyone else run 15-50 in the cold ?
