My Volvo 850 glt has 212,000 km ( 132,000 miles ) on it and recently ( less than 5000 KM ago ) the plugs wires rotor and distributor were changed. The car worked great. There are no service lights on, and when it starts , it runs perfect. The problem just started a short time ago , if I start it right after I drive somewhere. The car won't start but will turn over and kind of backfire, and the I have to keep trying for a few minutes and then it starts and works perfect. If I shut it off and try it again, the same thing. However, in the morning when the car is cold, it starts great. It never left me stranded yet, but I am worried.
If you have experienced this , please reply immediately, as I am heading out of town Thursday and my wife will be driving the baby around, and I don't want her stranded.
There was some mention of sparkplugs exhibiting this sort of problem, but they are almost new, and I bought them from the Volvo Dealer. They have 3 points on the tips, so I figure they are the ones I should have .
Thanks everyone.
