Clunking sound when backing up and turning V70-XC70 1998

Hello. I have a 1998 V7O with 90K miles. It's developed a loud clunking sound in reverse only. It only happens when in reverse when I'm turning left. Sound is intermittent. It doesn't happen every time.

The car doesn't knock or rattle at all over bumps or rough services. I'm stumped!!! All I can think of is maybe worn c/v joint??? Something I'm missing?
