serpentine belt Tensioner ? 850

Is it possible to take the serpentine belt tensioner apart and fix it ? it slips and makes a knocking sound every 1/4 to 1/2 a second at idle and increses with rpm uprise. what i did to make it work before was to stand towards the engine and jiggle the uppermost part of the tensioner and it would slip into place.

i cant drive like this becuase well.. its nocking like that and doesnt sound good, and it makes the belt ride like half off the pullys, so it would kill the belt in no time.

im lookin at volvo dealers and they want 230 bucks for the damn thing. thats disgusting. any one know if i can fix it or where a cheap priced one would be at ? online or maby i can get a local store to ship.. Thanks for the help .
