Hot start problems S40-V40 1998

Help

I have 2 litre petrol 98 model. It starts first time no problem from cold, when you switch the motor off after 5 minutes and then try to start it again the starter motor just gives one click, but by turning the key off and on after about 8 times it eventually starts, any ideas
