I have a 96 855. Last night, turning left in the snow, I found myself understeering towards the curb. I pulled the hand brake a bit to rotate the car, but ran out of room, and the right rear wheel smacked the curb sideways at maybe 10mph.
That wheel began to rub against the fuel filler tubing, and the car started crab-walking, with the rear wanting to come around the right. I can visually see toe-out on the right rear wheel, but the left rear seems to be fine.
I will get the car on jackstands tonight and see if I can fix it, but in the meantime, does anyone have experience with this type of damage? Did I simply knock the rear toe adjustment out of whack, or is it possible that I broke something? What should I be looking for? Thanks
btw... I desperately need snow tires...
