Leaks in Radiator for 850R 850

I have a dumb question... are the threads on the connectors that attach both the oil and the ATF lines to the coolers on the radiator supposed to have a thread selant like teflon tape or liquid sealant?

Here is my story in a nutshell:
I hit a deer. The body shop needed to replace the entire radiator because it was punctured in the AC condenser. About a week after they finished the job, I noticed ATF leaking from my car. The leak was coming from both the upper and lower BARELY HAND-TIGHT (a problem in itself) threaded quick-connectors that are attached to the radiator for the ATF cooler. Since I was close to 3 hours from home, I borrowed a friend's crescent wrench and tightened them the best I could. I noticed that the oil cooler connectors were backed out about 3-4 threads from the radiator just like the AT cooler, but I couldn't get to them due to the lack of access to ramps. I didn't notice any leaks there, so I didn't do anything right away. After complaining to the body shop, they took the car back today and have (according to them) fixed the problem. I just want to know -- since they didn't put a thread sealer, did they actually fix the problem or not?
