I own and drive a 97 850 wagon and would like to talk my sister into getting a V-40. She thinks the V-70's too big. From what I've seen all the V-40's came with the 1.9 turboed engine. But in Europe Volvo sold a 2.0 turbo version with 200 horsepower. Was this model ever available in the US or Canada, or did they save the bigger engine for the V-50? Additionally, I read a post that said 2002 was the first year curtain airbags were introduced on the V-40, but then I read another one that said 2001 was the first year for them. Can someone please help me get my facts straight so I can know which year (with side curtains) and engine (2.0 turbo, hopefully) to start looking for. Dick
