bad idle 850 1994

Ok, Let me know if anyone can help.
Our 850 turbo wagon 100,000 Miles started surging so we cleaned the throttle Body. That stopped the surging but,Then the car would not idle. (running rich) lots of gas smell. Cleaned the egr valve, Cleaned the air pump and the map sensor. still no idle. Code said bad map sensor (and Cooling sensor) Changed those New Bosch MAP sensor. Still computer says map sensor. I dont know if there is a way to check the voltage to the sensor but int seams to be working and sometimes the car will idle when warmed up. the gas smell is strong (unburned gas)??

Any help would be great
