Crazy wagon rear lights

The upper rear lenses on my 855 are crazed and faded. Seems to be pretty common problem.
I'd like to change them for stock V70 lenses with the clear center portion. Will it work?

jeffery47, I noticed in the archives you had this same idea, and wondering if you were able to make the swap??
