Painted Bumper peeling

I miss the black bumper from my 1991 240!

My 1998 V70 bumper (blue) keeps peeling both fron and back. Is this a common disease of painted bumper.

Black is nice, elegant and simple to maintain....I am starting to hate the painted bumper...even in my Honda van.

How many of you brickers have peeling problems with your bumpers?
