Location of cruise control relay: where and which one? 850 1997

Cruise control won't work on my 97 GLT wagon and I have checked all the obvious possibilities. An earlier post mentioned an expensive relay. Can someone tell me which relay and where, and if there's a way of checking it? There's a set of relays under the fuse box, and another set mounted to the firewall under the dash. I'm hoping it's one under the fuse box. My Worthless Haynes has nothing to say about cruise conrol except that it's a device that allows you to take your foot off the gas and maintain a constant speed. Dick
