So I got home from an 11 hour drive from Portland, Maine, and while backing into my driveway managed to hit my house and get a schmear of house paint on the car. It's a maneuver I've successfully executed thousands of times, but given that at least half of today's 11 hour drive was white-knuckle interstate rain driving, I'm exhausted. The driveway is less than 8 feet wide house-to-house, so I suppose it was just a matter of time before this happened.
There's not much of a dent, but there is a nice streak of almost white paint on my shiny black car.
Any suggestions as to what substance will dissolve the latex (and maybe some oil-based primer) but not the auto finish? I have some Goof-off, which says it dissolves latex but not oil, but who can tell me for sure?
