ABS/Traction Control lights 850 1997

My warning lights for ABS and Traction Control will come on and then go off every time I drive. My local shop hooked up their computer and they say the code is for a faulty chip/controller. I am wondering if it would be worth my while to hunt down a junkyard that has Volvos and scrounge for a model that has a chip? What other models would have the same chip controller?
