HELP - No Start, No A6 Code (not even 1-1-1) 850 1995

1995 850 Turbo Wagon / Motronic 4.3

Been having some problems with car lately... On Freeway, it started to cut out (1-2 seconds)a couple of times. I stopped by my indie, and he pointed out old vacume hoses, which I then replaced. Cut out was still intermittent and lasting longer in duration (4-5 seconds).

My CEL was on (see next message here on this post), so 2 days ago, I went to check the DTC codes. Same A2 code I've been having (5-2-1 Heated O2 sensor)... but no codes from A6... not even a 1-1-1. I went through a process of pulling the lead and starting the car to try and see if the ECM needed some kind of reset, but still no A6 codes, nor B6 codes were being returned at all. Light goes red when I press, but then nothing. I did not have time to get into it, so I left the car and took my motorcycle.

Then yesterday I planned on putting the car up on ramps to look at the O2 sensor. When I went to start it, it fired for a second, sputtered and stopped. Now it won't fire or start. When I crank, there seems to be spark, and I can smell gas. If I crank and keep cranking and start pressing the gas pedal several times, it almost catches - seems to fire, but not enough to turn over on it's own when I let off the starter.

The fuel filter, distributor cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air filter all only have about 15k miles useage, at which time the EGR and Throttle Body were removed and thoroughly cleaned.

I have been searching and reading all night.

One post here states that there is no A6 code readouts on a 95 850 w/ Motronic.
Is that correct??

If not correct - then could the lack of A6 codes and the car not starting be related?? (before I start tearing apart the "hardware" looking for something that isn't there, I wanted to see if it were a "software" problem)

If it were MAF related, I should be getting A2 codes.

I have read about Cam Position Sensor problems, but that (generally) would put out a code on A6, to which I am not receiving any response.

I thought about the Fuel Injectors, but individually, those return codes, and if a clog, I would think unlikely that all at the same time.

I am looking to see if this rings a bell with anyone.
Please help and / or look at my next message in this thread (RE the CEL) to see if there is any relation.
