What gives the AWD models a higher ride height? V70-XC70

Could it be the springs?
I am asking because I would like to get the ride height a little lower just like the 2wd models without getting actually getting lowering springs from companies like Eibach, etc.

If it is the springs, I'd like to replace them with the 2wd units.
