see codes 212 and 153, guarenteed double O2 sensor replacement? 850

Seeing codes 212 and 153 (even did a reset and checked a few days later) on my 95 850T wagon with 141k.
Background:
Dealer confirmed codes but I couldn't get past the sales guy to ask mech questions, said I need to replace both. Can't find records on last O2 sensor replacement. Also my current MPG ~17 in suburb driving with me avoiding going into boost.
153=Rear HO2S signal missing or faulty
212= Front heated O2 sensor(HO2S) signal missing or faulty.
Dealer also said my "rear main engine seal is leaking, at a moderate lev". Pavement under car dosen't look spotty though.
Prev owner hid check light burnout durring sale.

Q: how likely is it that both O2 sensors happen to be dead?

P.S. How can I tell how many liters this engine is? I don't see a stamp anywhare and the manual dosen't tell me. Just wondering because a parts place said they saw a few different entries in his computer, one of those being 5L.

Thanks
