I just replaced all five spark plugs on my 1993 850. I just got this car recently. I normally work on diesels so I'm unsure on this one. The previous owner used "Autolite" spark plugs with the single ground electrode. I replaced them all with the "Volvo" triple ground electrode plugs. I noticed while removing the Autolites that the threads and the electrodes were covered in motor oil. The oil was clean though, not the usual black color which indicates fouled plugs. There is no oil leaking from anywhere into those deep plug receptacles. What does this mean? Why is the oil brown (clean) and not black (dirty) indicating fouled plugs? How did it get there? What do I do?? Thank you in advance.
