front seat problem recline

My 1995 850 front driver seat recline goes back but doesn't come up. It will come back up about a 1/8"inch at a time. You hit the switch and it just bumps the seat up a notch. reclines no problem. Great if you drive a low rider. Help. I am tired of looking at my headliner.
