Driving w/ bad O2 sensor 850 1994

I have to take a trip w/ my 94 855T, and I'm getting the code for a bad O2 sensor (543? can't remember, but I looked it up a few days ago). I don't have time to get it fixed before I leave...Besides messing with the car's emissions, will I do any permanent damage? Round trip is about 1,000 miles...
