Serpentine belt? I bought a replacement belt that has ribs on one (m) V70-XC70 1999

side only. Is this normal? The belt on the car has ribs (and cracks) on both sides. The guy at the Zone says this is the proper belt. My mechanic says no. Whose right? Also, I remember that Volvo changed their recommended routing for the auxilary drive belt. What is it? Thanks in advance, David
