3 weeks ago I spent around 1300.00 US dollars to have severe oil leak repaired.
Mechanic said he had to take engine out of car to repair, hence the high price.
2 days ago I was told by freind that the engine was probably never taken out because of some connections that had never been disconnected. (long story)
Today I punched gas pedal hard as I was passing on expressway. Engine started
shifting erratically as though gears were going crazy. My car engine died as I had to coast off of expressway. Every light on dash board is lit up.
Tow driver said he saw white and lite blue smoke from exhaust when I moved
car for him. He suggested that oil could be leaking around rings into the combustion chamber. Towed car home and moved into driveway. Tow driver saw
black smoke from exhaust and said my engine was probably "toast".
Can any one give me some comforting words or possible ideas of what could be
happening.
One more note, when I started car last night to go get gas, I heard a
very faint yet strange "chiming" noise. I started car again to listen
but chime noise was not there.
