Hi- I have a 1994 n.a. 850 with 103,000 miles. I recently returned from a 1000 mile trip where the car ran flawlessly except for two instances in which all of the dashboard warning lights lit up at one time, then went back off. Conditions were dry, no indications belt slippage caused this. The day after returning home, I went to start my car, and nothing- All dash lights test themselves, I can hear the fuel pump when I turn the key, and the battery seems to have plenty of juice- my headlights seem just as bright as when the car was running. I "ratchet cleaned" the PNP switch, and the reverse lights came on in R, also the up arrow would light when low- I also cleaned every ground wire contact I could find, and also cleaned up the battery connections, to no avail. I turn the key to the start position, no death rattle from the battery, no nothing. I can hear the idle air control motor running when the key is on. I have had no previous warnings- no funny noises from the starter- car has always started right up on the first try and ran and drove smoothly. The only weird thing before this happened was the "light show" on the dashboard- I have ordered the electrical portion of the ignition switch in hopes it fixes the problem- any more suggestions from the Brickboard? Possibly a ?ignition/starter relay? Thanks in advance- Brett Mitchell
