Steering wheel blistering

I have a 2003 V70 for which I had the steering wheel replaced at approx 17,000 miles because of blistering and peeling of the leather.

Now at approx 48,000 miles the same thing is happening again.

I am going to attempt to have a new wheel installed under warranty pre 50,000 miles.

Has anyone else experienced this odd problem
and if so is there any way to prevent it?

My next plan is to find a dermatologist!
