Noises from front end of 95 850 850 1995

Seems like I am having some issues with a suspension component on my 850. When I make hard turns at slow speed (in the driveway as an example) I hear lots of noise. The noise sound slike it is a popping sound. I have had CV joints go bad on a front drive VW and know what that sounds like but this doesn't seem like the same thing.

I have not had to chnage anything but the tie rod ends at one time. My struts and all other parts are original with 112,000 miles. Any help is greatly appreciated.
