I have a '96 855.
My father borrowed the car for a week while I was out of town, and since the car was rather dirty inside, he had it detailed at a local carwash. I'm grateful, but now I have a problem - I'm missing a rear seatbelt buckle (receptacle for the clip).
I tried to look inside between the seat bottom and backrest (rear seat), but no sign. Tried to feel around with fingers in the hole, but couldn't find that way either. I'm guessing it got broken off somehow during detailing (boggles my mind how). The carwash doesn't know anything about it. I know the rear seat was raised for detailing, 'cause I had it lowered it when giving it to my father. The seats were definitely cleaned, so it must've been raised for cleaning.
It doesn't matter who's responsible anyhow. I just want the thing put back in so I can separate my kids in the back. Has anyone try to replace the seatbelt clip receptable? I'm referring to the receptable where the metal clip clicks into. Is this a hard job? Looks like the rear seatback needs to come off altogether?
Thanks in advance.
