V70 Cargo Net V70-XC70

I am buying a '98 V70 GLT and there is a cargo net that rolls up from behind the headrests of the back seat. Anyway I am not sure how this thing is supposed to attach. I am sure that there is a rod that goes across the top but I can't find it, I don't know where it would store and I don't know where I can get a replacement. Any ideas?
