Air Pump or No Air pump? 850 1995

You probably have an air pump. There is a 1inch hose that goes from the front of the air filter box down under the battery. When the car is first started, if you squeeze the hose with your fingers you will feel it pulse with air.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks yet? Volvospeed has pics.
