Key fob questions for 1998 model V70-XC70

Yeah, I've broken about 4 or 5 covers, it's amazing that Volvo doesn't sell just the covers. They should cost about $5, and they probably cost about $0.25 to manufacture. (Well, no, it's not amazing, it's "profit".)

As BG's post below, IPD has replacement covers for $30. They don't have the FCC numbers on the back and some say they require a little trimming. CLICK HERE. They do come in cooler colors -- yellow and red, making it harder to lose the fob.

The replacement fobs (new) usually go for $35-$40 on e-bay. I have a plastic bag of broken covers, circuit boards and batteries, sometimes only half of the cover breaks. The covers also show up on fleabay but the prices seem no better than IPD's.

I've never bought a replacement from the Volvo dealer!
