Amsoil V70-XC70 2001

I'm responding to the "any thought" part of the OP.

1) Synthetics are said to have had impurities removed. There's less stuff to coke in screaming hot turbo bearings. Plus, today's engines are tighter machines and have been moving to requiring synthetics for years now.

2) I'm all for the many who've run turbo Volvos and Saabs (or anything else) on SC oils since the '60's. BRAVO.
I know they've been diligent with their maintenance.

However, the new oils are out there and the small price premium is worth it to me.

The old cigarette smoking, alcoholic wife-beaters can stay the course. Like they say, "if it ain't sunk, keep bailing. I don't need no stinking bilge pump."
