Turbo Going Bad?? V70-XC70 1998

I had a high pitched sound (2000 S70), mainly noticable at an idle, even heard with the windows UP. Anyway, it turn out to be the piston cooling valve. Mine was fixed under warranty, but if I remember correctly, the bill submitted to VCNA was around $100 or so. Never heard again after they replaced it.
