I have a set of 185/65 15s on my T5. They are Gislaved Nordfrost II. I have also heard good things about Nokian Hakkapelittas and Bridgestone Blizzaks. My first time driving on snows this weekend in upstate NY and they worked very well in the snow/feezing rain we got. A little noisier than the summer tires (Michelin Pilot HX) but not to the point of distraction. The $500 you will spend is cheap insurance in my view. In addition, you'll be putting less miles on your Dunlops and keeping those nice alloys off the pothole laden winter streets. I see secondhand sets advertised all the time in the different classifieds.
