850 R Smoking

Blue smoke generally means unburnt oil. If it was me, I'd probably replace the valve stem seals and see if that helps. As far as the soot and miosture, I'm not sure. I have a 95 850 trubo, not the "R" version. Not sure if this behaves differently or not.
