Theses keys are soft and tend to ware on top and bottom. See if you have a clean square key and try. Unfortunately you need to replace lock cylinder if that won't work.. Second unfortunate thing is that to remove cylinder you need to insert key turn right one click and pull out. Since you can't turn it you'll have to either drill it out or use an ignition puller. You'll need to order cylinder from dealer (if you want to keep key same as glove box, otherwise take a stock lock if you dont want to wait)about $65.00 but includes 3 keys.
ps if you drill it out you need to remove protective stainless steal cover.
use dremell and cut slices than peel off. Then use about 1/2 drill and go in about 3/4 inch. then you can push down top part of cyl to disengage lock then just pull out remaining part of cyl. don't drill to far in!
