I had rear seal done for about $800 too. I was told they checked out the trans while it was out & changed its fluid. Since air cleaner comes out on that side, check that all was put back together tightly, mine was not. Keep the flame trap out, and check for gunk in its location often. Sadly I suspect I'm leaking oil again, am unsure, maybe just consuming a bit. Will check further when weather gets better. Good luck
