I have owned an off-lease '99 S70 T5A since May 2002 and have put around 7,000 miles on it so far. Car has 40,000 miles on it now. Wonderful car so far- the only issues I have had are slightly warped rotors, replaced main window switch cluster, and swaybar end links- all common problems. Last two items covered by original warranty. Engine produces 236 hp and 244 lb ft of torque. I have averaged 23 mpg for the last 4,000 miles of mostly in-town driving. '99's have the drive by wire throttle and if so equipped, the more advanced STC traction control system instead of TRACS. Works great in the winter. I think there is also variable valve timing. Another good thing about the '99 and on ones is that you can reset the service light yourself without having to go to the dealer.
Highs are turbo power, comfort, safety, stereo.
Low would be slight turbo lag.
