It's a crap shoot from what I hear. I just bought a '94 940 which had 169,000 miles. The fluid was PURE BLACK but I flushed it anyway. The transmission started to shift harshly after but has smoothed out after about 4,000 miles of driving. Good luck!! I'd go for it anyway.
