Don't know about rubberized paint, but use primer with regular paint 850

If you use regular paint, clean and prime the area first. The molding is made of steel (I think) and covered with vinyl. A primer is a better adhesive than the actual paint/pigment.

I am not sure if rubberized paint, by itself, will adhere well or not, on steel.
