Good question Dustin. Folks say that you can somehow remove the fan from the blower motor & just replace the fan. I decided not to mess around with that; I think it's only about $50 cheaper to do that. $50 isn't chicken scratch, but if I was dismantling my dash, I was going to make it as quick & easy as possible, so I ordered the whole unit for around $140. Good luck.
