STARTING OUT IN HIGH GEAR 850 1993

Most likely your PNP switch is shot.
Could be dirty contacts .
Turn key on to second click .
Shift from low to park about 20 times fast and this might buy you some time .
Mine lasted 3 months doing that and is now acting up again.
