I pretty sure it's your radio, not the antenna. Get your radio code. Pull out the radio while it's on and has one of the symptoms you describe, then wiggle the antenna connection on the back of the radio, see if that improves it. I think there is a common problem with the circuit board in the rear of the radio, mine gets much worse in colder weather. I have not had time to isolate where the bad connection is. Try this though.
