Front end pop on '98 S70.

Hi,

I've searched the Archives but would like some more info. The car has 76K miles.

Today when driving in a parking ramp to the upper floor, I heard a very loud "pop" as the wheel was turned right with the car on an incline--the front end higher than the rear.

On reaching a level floor and moving the wheel back to center there was a loud "sproing" sound followed by a click.

This happened each time for three successive floors. On level roads I do occasionally hear a very light "pop" wnen turning right.

The control arms have been replaced, the tie-rod ends are new, the steering stops are greased. I don't see any failure of the upper spring seats.

The sway-bar end links seem tight but thay have about 30K on them.

Help!

Bryan
