Hood release lever/cable V70-XC70 1998

The problem with the drivers side not releasing is there is no upward tension against the latch. The latch releases and then relatches when you release the lever. 850s had an "L" shaped bracket with a rubber bumper right next to each latch. The 70 series the rubber bumper got moved inboard, thus the problem.
